I’m Planning a “We’re Still Here Party” for Sunday

When I first heard Harold Camping’s prediction for the rapture to take place tomorrow, May 21st, the only thing I could do was shake my head and smile because what he is promoting is utter nonsense. But after hearing on many media outlets the sarcasm and humor directed at Camping and, I believe at all Christians, I have changed my attitude. This will only provide more opportunity for those who are disenchanted with the church to make more fun of what they don’t believe or understand.

The sad part is that many Christians who don’t have a clear understanding of what Scripture says about when the world will end will be even more confused and more likely to move away from faith in Jesus Christ.

Here is an explanation from a Canadian pastor that I feel is quite complete. Please read it for yourself and learn.

His final suggestion of planning a “We’re Still Here Party” for Sunday after church sounds like the right idea and I’ll be happy to host one.

Will you come?
