It’s Opening Day!

After meandering through a week of games in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, the St. Louis Cardinals come home for their first game of the season at Busch Stadium. Bernie Miklasz, columnist for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, describes opening day in St. Louis very well. You can read it here.

In all my years in St. Louis I never attended an opening day game mainly because I was afraid of missing school (what a stupid reason as I look back at it). My parents were very clear about my priorities and the classroom ranked higher than the ball field.

Now that I’m moving closer to St. Louis, maybe I’ll be able to get there for an opening day. It’s a great way to start the season! Go Cards!
