Mid-Week Stewardship Thought

The Generosity of Women

God uses both men and women to help the needy and extend His kingdom. The following are some examples of women who gave generously in Scripture:

“As He looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. ‘I tell you the truth,’ He said, ‘This poor widow has put in more than all the others’” (Luke 21:7).

“Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped His feet with her hair” (John 11:3).

“In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor” (Acts 9:36).

Prayer: Lord, thank You that in spite of my sinfulness, You are generous with me. Fill me with a spirit of generosity. Amen.

Blessings on your stewardship journey!
