Mid-Week Stewardship Thought

Keeping our Commitment to the Lord

A farmer walks into the farm house and tells his wife that he has the greatest news. Their finest cow gave birth to twin calves—a brown one and a white one. “We will raise them both together and, when they reach marketable age, we will sell them and give the proceeds from one to the Lord and keep the proceeds from the other for ourselves.”

The wife, being a perceptive lady, said, “Which one’s the Lord and which is ours?”

The husband said, “It won’t make any difference; we will raise and sell them both together.”

Sometime later the husband walks into the farm house, telling his wife that he has some very bad news. “The Lord’s calf just died.”

With God’s help and strength, our relationship with God can be so strong that He can keep us faithful in our stewardship. May God strengthen each of us to keep our vows to the Lord.

Prayer: Father, as You are faithful to me, help me to faithful to You. Amen.

Blessings on your stewardship journey!
