10 Facts About Religion You May Not Have Known

The Pew Research Center does an outstanding job compiling news on religious topics and they have this article “10 Facts About Religion in America” which I believe you will find interesting.

One point that caught my eye was number 10, which says 92% of the members of Congress claim to be Christian. I am thinking that this number will soon be changing as America’s attitude toward religion is quickly moving away from the need for one to proclaim they are Christian. Plus, I believe there are members of Congress who claim to be Christian when that is not the case. I guess we could have a show of hands of the members of the House of Representatives and Senate as to who went to church yesterday. I bet the number wouldn’t be very high.

  1. The amount of non-Christian behavior outside of the Halls of Congress would likely boggle the mind, given what is seen while our government is in session.
