Mid-Week Stewardship Thought

Time for What?

Our time is a gift from God. Through faith, we understand that our lives and the time we’ve been given are gifts so whatever we are doing should be done to please and honor God. We belong to God and are in His service. God encourages us to use our time in worthwhile activities in the service of Him and our neighbors.

Knowing that time is from God, can we continually use the excuse “I have no time?” By using this excuse, aren’t we saying “I am not willing to set aside any time for God”? God has made each of us unique with gifts and talents. If we choose not to use our talents for His work, we cause someone else to do our work while he/she was created to do some other work. Both our church and we are poorer for not using our time in God’s service.

Prayer: Dear good and gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for all my gifts and blessings, especially my time. Help me to use my time in ways that give You glory. Amen.

Blessings on your journey as a steward!
