A Lutheran Bottle Band!?!

Our congregation’s retired pastor, Ken Haydon, put me on to this (so blame him!), but there is (or was) a group from St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Park Ridge IL who call themselves the “St. Luke’s Bottle Band.” They have a web site (bottleband.org) and a Facebook page where you can either follow them or waste more time.

Anyway, here is one of their pieces performed back in 2009:

As you can see, not only beer bottles are used but also some wine bottles (so they can generate the lower tones).

It’s amazing what people can do.
