Prior to moving to Arkansas, I lived in Ringwood, New Jersey, a wonderful community in the far northern part of the state. In fact, the New York state line was just a few minutes from where I lived.
Across that state line, in and around the communities of Warwick, Tuxedo, and a couple of others there has been movement in the real estate market for the past few years. The Jehovah’s Witnesses have been buying up empty buildings and converting them for their use as a world headquarters along Long Meadow Road. Apparently they aren’t done yet as this article seems to indicate they will be building and buying more.
I knew the JW’s would get a lot of money for their Brooklyn properties, but 1 billion plus is more than they maybe hoped for.
So, for those of you living in and around that area–now you know just how much your new neighbors are worth. It isn’t chump change!
