Mid-Week Stewardship Thought

Following God’s Direction for Our Money

To teach and guide us in financial matters, God has placed over 2,000 verses that relate directly or indirectly about money and possessions in the Bible. The sheer enormity of the Bible’s teaching on this subject commands our attention. Jesus said more about money and possessions than about heaven, prayer, and faith. God wants us to recognize the powerful relationship between our spiritual condition and our attitude and actions concerning money and possessions. We are foolish to think that we have all we need if we have money. Money has no eternal value, nor does it bring lasting value or happiness. All the things that money can buy can be lost, stolen, destroyed, or eroded.

Prayer: Almighty God, Heavenly Father, guide me in how I manage my money. Give me wisdom to manage what You entrust to me wisely. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Blessings on your journey as a steward!
