Music for Advent

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about music to enhance your Thanksgiving experience and I got the sense you appreciated the post.

Thankfully, Cheryl Magness over at The Federalist has come through with several hymns that highlight the season of Advent. You can check them out here.

Advent is a season that is becoming, quite quickly, as commercialized as Christmas. Today, I spotted an Advent calendar with each day filled with a beer bottle!

These weeks prior to Christmas are for preparing one’s heart for the coming of our Savior. That preparation involves repentance and asking for God’s Spirit to lead us to the coming Savior. It certainly is not for beer (at least in calendar form).

May this music enhance your days and allow you to see Jesus as the main focus to all we do in these days.
