Mid-Week Stewardship Thought

Take Up Our Crosses

Just as Christ endured the cross on the path to Golgotha “for the joy that was set before Him” (Hebrews 12:2), so He calls us to take up our crosses and follow Him – willingly, joyfully, and triumphantly.  Acceptance of the cross indicates that we are willing to serve in Christ’s name to a hurting world.  We are willing to do His work for His glory, willing to minister to His people through His Spirit, even willing to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Prayer:  Good and gracious Heavenly Father, You are the creator and sustainer of all things.  You are the King of glory, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end.  Lord, I am a sinful person who does the things I shouldn’t do and not what I should.  Grant me the strength to live a life that is pleasing to You.  Help me to take up my cross and serve You totally.  In Christ’s name I pray.  Amen.

Blessings on your stewardship journey!
